Lycel fiber, also known as tencel fiber, is a natural fiber as raw materials, through chemical processing of semi-synthetic fiber, belongs to a kind of artificial fiber. Compared with other synthetic fibers, Lyocell fibers have better moisture absorption properties and feel soft and comfortable.
Tencel is a registered trademark of Austrian Lenzing Company, and its homophonic "Tencel" is used in the product name in China. Tencel is a Lyocell fiber, but Lyocell is not necessarily Tencel. A fiber made of wood pulp, mainly coniferous wood, which is dissolved in an amine oxide solvent and then spun by solvent spinning, in which the amine oxide solvent is recycled and done entirely under physical action. Its production process is non-toxic, pollution-free, the product can be biodegradable after use, will not cause pollution to the environment, known as the "21st century green fiber".
The morphology and structure of Lyocell fiber are completely different from that of ordinary viscose fiber. The cross section structure is uniform, round, and there is no skin core layer, and the longitudinal surface is smooth without grooving. Compared with viscose fiber, it has excellent mechanical properties, good dimensional stability, shrinkage rate is only 2%, and high hygroscopicity.
Lyocell fiber has a variety of excellent properties of natural fiber and synthetic fiber, natural luster, smooth feel, high strength, very low shrinkage rate, and moisture permeability, good air permeability, soft and comfortable, smooth and cool, good drdrability, durable.
