Lenzing Tencel G100

Tencel is the trade name of Lyocell fiber of Lenzing Company. It is a kind of high wet modulus regenerated cellulose fiber produced by wet spinning after the cellulose is dissolved in N-methoxymorpholine (NMMO) solution. Production is carried out in a closed system, and the recovery rate of organic solvent NMMO can reach more than 99%, which is harmless to the environment. Lyocell fiber is biodegradable.

Product Details

Lyocell fibers are filament and short fibers, short fibers are divided into ordinary (uncrosslinked) and crosslinked. The former is the Tencel G100 and the latter is the Tencel A100.

he production process of Tencel G100 is: wood pulp → NMMO dissolution → filtration → spinning → coagulation bath solidification → washing → drying → curling → cutting into fiber

The ordinary Tencel G100 fiber has high hygroscopicity and swelling, especially radial. The swelling rate is as high as 40%-70%. When the fiber expands in water, the bonding forces such as hydrogen bonds between the axial molecules of the fiber are broken apart, and when subjected to mechanical action, the fiber splits along the axis to form a longer fibril. The common Tencel G100 fiber is easy to fibrillate, and the fabric can be processed into peach velvet style.

The hydroxyl in the cross-linked Tencel A100 cellulose molecule reacts with a crosslinking agent containing three active groups to form a cross-linking between cellulose molecules, which can reduce the fibrillation tendency of Lyocell fiber, and can process smooth and clean fabrics, and it is not easy to pilling during use.

Tencel is a pure natural regenerative fiber, is the British Acordis company to extract 100% natural wood pulp from eucalyptus as raw materials developed, known as the "21st century fiber dream." Its characteristics: softer than silk, better than cotton moisture absorption, light and easy to wash and dry.

The popularity of Lyocell fiber began in the early 1990s, and the domestic development began in the second half of the 1990s, and it was popular in the domestic market in the late 1990s. Lyocell fiber is strong and can be used as an industrial fiber, but it has the comfort of cotton, silk-like feel and good drappability. It is the only new type of fiber in the world that integrates the advantages of adult fiber and natural fiber. The emergence of Lyocell fiber has attracted countless textile manufacturers and clothing manufacturers who are concerned about the development of new fabrics, and has become a very frequently used fiber name in recent years. Lyocell fiber in the production process caused little pollution to the environment, so it is also known as the "green fiber of the 21st century".
