Viscose Fiber

Viscose fiber has good hygroscopic properties, and the moisture regain rate is about 13% under general atmospheric conditions. After hygroscopic expansion, the diameter can be increased by 50%, so the fabric feels hard after launching, and the shrinkage rate is large.

Rayon is viscose fiber, is a major variety of man-made fiber. Alkali cellulose is formed from natural cellulose by alkalization, and then react with carbon disulfide to produce cellulose xanthate. The viscous solution obtained by dissolving in dilute lye is called viscose. Viscose is formed into viscose fiber after wet spinningand a series of processing processes. Its basic composition is cellulose common viscose fiber cross section is zigzag skin core structure, longitudinal flat and horizontal groove. The rich fiber has no skin core structure and a circular cross-section.

The breaking strength of common viscose fiber is smaller than that of cotton, about 1.6~2.7cN/dtex. The elongation at break is higher than that of cotton (16%~22%). The wet strength decreased more, about 50% of the dry strength, and the wet elongation increased about 50%. Its modulus is lower than cotton, it is easy to deform under small load, and the elastic recovery performance is poor, so the fabric is easy to stretch and the dimensional stability is poor. The strength especially the wet strength of the rich fiber is higher than that of the ordinary viscose, the elongation at break is smaller, and the dimensional stability is good. The wear resistance of ordinary viscose is poor, while that of rich fiber is improved.

The chemical composition of viscose fiber is similar to cotton, so it is more alkali resistant and not acid resistant, but alkali resistant and acid resistant are worse than cotton. Rich fiber has good alkali and acid resistance. Similarly, the dyeing property of viscose fiber is similar to that of cotton, the dyeing chromatography is complete, and the dyeing property is good. In addition, the thermal properties of viscose fiber are similar to cotton, with a density close to cotton of 1.50~1.52g/cm3.

The common viscose fiber has good hygroscopicity, easy dyeing, not easy static electricity, and good spinnability. Short fiber can be pure spinning, can also be blended with other textile fibers, the fabric is soft, smooth, breathable, comfortable to wear, bright color after dyeing, good color fastness. Suitable for making underwear, outerwear and various decorative supplies. Filament fabrics are light in texture and can be woven into bedding and decorative fabrics in addition to clothing. The disadvantages of this kind of viscose fiber are poor fastness, low wet modulus, high shrinkage rate and easy deformation, poor elasticity and wear resistance.
